 Happy birthday Serendipity Luminescent :-) Born on the 20th of July, 2006 the site is now 1 year old! Unlike a real one year old it doesn't keep me up all night and so far hasn't been sick on me ;-) But it's really a great feeling that it's been a whole year since I started. My philosophy is that no matter where you are you can find beauty. It might be a fresh snow twinkling in the moon glow of a starry night, or it might be a broken bottle filled with motes of sunlight, it could be anywhere or anything and you only need open eyes and heart to notice it. I think it's important to notice. It's with that philosophy ( along with a couple of others ) that I capture and post my photographs with and the reason for the site name. With the above in mind, I think the photo for today is very apt. After enjoyed a couple of coffees in a Starbucks ( yes, I know - Starbucks :-p ) I felt the call of nature. There was a bit of a wait to attend said call of nature and while waiting I couldn't help but notice the lighting and shadows on the door of the toilet - and as you can see the rest is history! Two lessons can be gleaned from this little anecdote and photo: Firstly, that as mentioned there is beauty everywhere in the world and often it comes in the most unexpected forms. Secondly, if you take photographs of an occupied toilet in a cafe you get some really funny looks :-D Thanks for everybody that visits and special thanks to anybody that takes the time to comment!
