Decadente, Seville, faded glory, foto de sevilla

... I'm back! :-)

Had a really great time in Andalucia, Spain. A much needed holiday to take time, just be, and recharge on beauty, light and passion... and of course take some photos ;-)

Listening to one pod cast that I like I learned of the word 'decadente' in Spanish means 'faded glory' which they were using to describe the port city of Cadiz ( one of the places I visited ) and the word very much applies to that city in particular. However, to me the word can also describe a lot of Spain and especially Andulacia which seems so full of long ago glory faded to dusty forgotten beauty which just adds to the charm and the stories that seems to seam from every deep dark shadow and blazing white sun blasted wall.

Adios Sevilla... here is a toast to sunlight and shadows, oranges and flamenco guitar, coffee and a cold cerbeza, and to decadente :-)

By the way, thank you all those that have voted for me on the PhotoBloggies!

I know I don't entertain for a moment that I could win, it's just really cool to be included in the list and be in the company of over photographers that might take a look at my stuff! Big thanks!
