While walking in the local woods, I found this tree. Looks like a face. Maybe when we are not looking he goes walking... :-)

I think I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree... I think that maybe sky should be included in that line, although it will never rhyme ;-)

This is a head of a cow... Where is the rest of him? Maybe I ate him. Maybe I didn't. Maybe this is the head of a terrible skeleton cow that roams around on especially dark night going about it's dark deeds and putting the wind up late working farmers? Who knows. Me? Maybe. I'm not telling ;-)

I never do people shots... Ah... Well, never say never, right? This one was a really lucky shot when I was in central London, after shooting all that I wanted to shoot I started to just muck around a bit. ( note to self, experiment more! ) and this was one of the lucky shots ( hence title ). I spotted this woman taking a shot and in a split second took her since I thought it would be really cool to get a shot of somebody taking a shot. Yeah, it's been done before but not by moi.

I'm really fasinated, actually. People always seem to be burting with stories. I'll always wonder who she is and what she was doing in London ( apart from taking the shot lol ) I often in sit and people watch and wonder at the stories. I sit and try to put their stories together like a jigsaw puzzle. I don't know your story, but thank you lady luck! Take a bow, you are an internet star... even if somewhat limited star ;-)

Such a noise bird, you squabble and squawk so much and yet you are the lady of the sea that sails over salt water waves that smash against rocks and cliffs and shore. You are greedy and foolish when you have so much beauty and inhabit a place of peace. You are a little like us.

Happy New Year! I hope everybody here at expressions, and anybody surfing in has a really great and happy new year full of beautiful moments.

First post of the new year, obviously! Starting off this year with an experimental arty type shot. I have an app on my Android powered phone called FXcamera. What the FXcamera application does is emulate toy cams! You can also set the program to do all sorts of random things like cross process and pinhole.

I love this application because of the randomness of it all. I never know what I am going to end up with - and I love that! I love that the shots are so dreamy and that they are imperfect. It's almost like anti photography. We, us photographers, spend so much time setting up the shot, getting the techy details just right, then coming home and carefully making sure everything is just so and perfect - stage managed! Life isnt like that. At least, my life isn't. It's imperfect, organic, random and somtimes strange and dream like. Of course, I love the former, but I'm also loving the latter too - there is room for both. And as I said I love the almost anti photography angle. I think sometimes photographers get so caught up in making a shot perfect, so there art and the artist will be taken with seriousness.

So anyway, I have written a ton - if anybody has waded there way through this small lake of text then I would love to know what you think :-) I'll be posting up these strange shots from time to time so look out for em if you dig it!

*rasies glass* Happy New Year :-)

The two wolves sat side by side in the darkness. The two wolves atop a high cliff that overlooked a forest thick with foilage and night calls of numerous creatures. They gave the ocean of wood land no attention because their gaze was fixed to the sky. The wolves watched with yellow eyes as the moon threw off her cloak of clouds; at once gave voice in a great song of howling to the moon - breath plumed in the cold night as they sang song to the moon who is mistress of the night, magic, and of course wolves...
